Parts of the destroyed Tsangaya Model Boarding School
Tsangaya Model Boarding Primary School with 14 classes was on Sunday completely destroyed following a fire incident.
The school, located at Kiyawa village, Bagwai local government area had twelve offices and twenty-one toilets.
According to Kano Fire Service's Spokesman, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi in a statement signed on Sunday, the service's Bichi fire station received an emergency call from Ghaddafi Sani Bagwai reporting the incident.
He explained that when their men arrived at the scene, they discovered the whole building was on fire.
The spokesman added that the fire started from the administrative block main building due to a solar system malfunction and spread to other parts of the Tsangaya school.
He noted that no life was lost as all officers pointed students were successfully evacuated.
