Kano Warns Private Dvelopers To Adhere To Governmenr Layouts

The Kano State Government has warned private developers to strictly adhere to the terms and conditions governing the government layouts.

The Permanent Secretary, Kano State Bureau for Land Management, Dr Zainab Ibrahim Dr Braji stated this while presenting Letters of Grant to BHK investment limited, a private developer.

A statement signed by the Information officer of the bureau, Murtala Shehu Umar quoted Dr Braji as saying after she assumed office as a permanent secretary she had a series of meeting with land developers and vendors associations on how to end unapproved layout (Awon Igiya) in Kano metropolis.

"To end the menace of  unapproved layouts (Awon Igiya) we have to encourage the private developers to invest in land management," Braji said:

Speaking after receiving the letters of the grant, the Managing Director, BHK investment limited, Bashir Haruna Kassim said his company would liaise with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Kano state branch to issue these letters of grant to Kano State workers at a subsidised price.
