American rapper and fashion mogul, Kanye West, is now the richest African-American in the United States with a whopping net worth of $6.6 billion as revealed by Forbes Magazine.
The rapper, who previously held the fourth position, secured his place on top of the list by surpassing Oprah Winfrey, David Stewards, and Robert F. Smith.

According to new valuations prepared by UBS Group AG, Kanye's sneaker and apparel business 'Yeezy' in partnership with Adidas is worth between $3.2 billion and $4.7 billion.
The 'Famous' rapper has an additional $1.7 billion in assets, $122 million in cash and stock, and $110 from his music career.
Kanye owns 100percent of Yeezy by himself and previously signed a 10-year agreement to design and sell clothes under the Yeezy Gap label in 2020.
