Popular rapper and businessman Kanye West will now be simply referred to as 'Ye' after a Los Angeles court approved his application for the change.
Kanye first requested his name be changed in August after he filed legal documents, citing personal reasons for the name change.
Now that the process has been approved, he will no longer be addressed by his full name - Kanye Omari West - but by the two-letter moniker, Ye.

The first time the 44-year-old had alluded to the change, he had written the following words in an online post: "Formally known as Kanye West. I am YE."
The application was approved by LA Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams, and he will no longer have a middle or last name.
In a 2018 chat with radio host Big Boy. the rapper had said, "I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible. In the Bible it means you.
"So, I'm you. And I'm us. It's us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye, just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused - everything. It's more of a reflection of who we are [as] beings."
