Somewhere in Northern Nigeria, a villages sacked by bandits during one of their attacks
The Katsina Emirate Council has restated its commitment to support security agencies in the fight against security challenges saddling the state.
Wazirin Katsina (Chief Adviser to the Council), Ibrahim Ida, stated this in an interview with NAN in Katsina on Monday, adding that the fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility, and stressed the need for all to put hands together to address the problem.
“This is because government or security operatives alone cannot solve the problem. All hands must be on deck by stakeholders to address the problem.
“I, therefore, urge all of us to cooperate in the fight against kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling and rape, among other vices bedeviling us and some states in the North-West zone,” he said.
Katsina has, and is still suffering from its share of terror attacks, with villages like Gurza in Dan Musa local government, Garin Labo, Garin Yara, Kasai, Sabon Garin Dunburawa, Dantudun Garin Yara, Shingi and Garin Dodo all of Batsari Local government, and many others being the most affected, usually being completely sacked by the bandits.
