Katsina: Four Suspected Kidnappers Killed By Police

Four infamous kidnappers operating in three villages in Katsina State have been killed by officers of the Katsina State Police Command.

The kidnappers were said to have been terrorising Kwari, Karo, and Gangamawa villages and the Jibia Local Government Areas in the state.

At a press briefing, at the police command headquarters in Katsina, the commissioner of police in the state, CP Sanusi Buba, said that the weapons recovered from the gang were sophisticated, and the perpetrators were killed in different hideouts, with some sustaining various forms of injuries, while some took off into the Rugu forest.

A band of security operatives including the Vigilantes, Sharan Daji, and officers of the Operation Puff Adder had gotten wind of an attack that the bandits had carried out on a village and had visited the scene to lay ambush for them.

Police officers, according to the commissioner, recovered various items and livestock from each village, two AK-47 rifles were found in Kwari village along with 17 sheep, 19 cows, and 34 goats; while in Karo and Gangamawa villages, 99 sheep, 1 goat, and 60 cows were recovered.
