Katsina Government Restates Commitment To Squashing Insecuri

Katsina State has some of the very ravaged communities by banditry.

Katsina State Government has again, promised dedication to continued collaboration with security agencies in ensuring improved peace and security in the state.

The state Deputy Governor, Mannir Yakubu, said this when he received the Assistant Commandant General (ACG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in charge of zone ‘B’, Mohammed Haruna on a courtesy call.

Yakubu noted that the corps had earned public respect in the state, citing the recent training of special vigilantes to assist in checking communities for improved security across the state by the corp as a great synergy.

He assured said the state government is very serious about being an end the lingering banditry and kidnapping as well as other security challenges in the state.

Earlier, Haruna said he was in the state for a familiarisation tour on corps formations and pledged to do everything possible to improve security in the state.

He appreciated the state government for its support to security outfits across the 34 local government areas of the state and promised continued collaboration.

As per a NAN report, the ACG also commended the state government on its development strides in the state in the last seven and a half years.
