Katsina Governor Announces Replacement Of Masari's Appointee

The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday, announced the replacement of former governor Aminu Bello Masari's appointees.

Following the replacement, the governor directed all the political appointees of the immediate past administration to hand over to the most senior directors in their ministries.

The Governor's decision was conveyed in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday.

The directive however exempted the State's Pilgrims Welfare Board until the completion of the 2023 Hajj exercise. 

The replacement as announced by the governor included a former Director General of the Federal Mortgage Bank, Architect Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Others were Jabiru Tsauri as the new Chief of Staff, Barrister Muhtar Aliyu Saulawa as Deputy Chief of Staff and Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji as the Principal Private Secretary.

The governor also appointed Mallam Maiwada Danmallam as the Director of General Media, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed as Chief Press Secretary and Malam Miqdad Isah were appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media to the governor.

Others included Abubakar Badaru Jikamshi as the Senior Special Assistant on Print and Electronic Media and Bishir Maikano as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, Deputy Governor’s Office.

The governor also approved the appointment of Hassan Ibrahim Danhaire as Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, Deputy Governor’s Office and Ahmed Rabiu as Official Photographer to the Governor.

He also congratulated the new appointees while urging them to work together in rebuilding the state.
