Katsina Police Arrest Terrorists Informant

Police in Katsina said it has arrested a suspected informant that has been feeding information to terrorists disturbing the state.

21-year-old Yunusa Sani was arrested at Unguwar Nakaba Village, Sabuwa local government with the help of the local vigilante.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The Suspect, a resident of Rigasa quarters, Kaduna State was arrested on January 24, 2023, at about 1000hrs based on a tip-off.

“Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was arrested, making frantic efforts to go into the forest to meet terrorist bandits with a view to joining their ranks,”

During the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offence.”

He further stated that the suspect intended to submit the below-mentioned names as targets for kidnapping.

They include: (1) Malam Shu’aibu; (2) Malam Haladu; (3) Baba Sa’idu; and (4) Suleiman Doguwa, all of Unguwar Nakaba, Sabuwa LGA, Katsina.

He said an investigation is ongoing.
