Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris has directed that all outstanding allowances of security personnel in the state be paid.
The Governor gave the directive while interacting with journalists shortly after the Security Council meeting was held at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
He assured that all security personnel posted to crisis-prone areas of the state must get their outstanding allowances paid.
The Governor sought the support and cooperation of security agencies towards tackling the security challenges, especially in the southern part of the state.
While assuring total support and assistance to security agencies, Idris charged the personnel to redouble efforts towards cleansing the entire state of crimes.
He said that his administration would accord a premium to security, adding that “no society will record meaningful development in an unsecured environment”.
The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies and deliberated on security problems affecting the state.
