Kebbi Governor Approves Immediate Payment Of May Salary

The Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has approved the immediate payment of workers' salary for the month of May.

The governor's approval was disclosed by the State's Head of Service, Safiyanu Garba Bena, in a statement on Monday. 

The statement noted that the governor's gesture was to enable workers and pensioners celebrate the inauguration of the governor-elect, Dr Idris Nasir, Kauran Gwandu, on May 29.

This was contained in a statement on Monday by Yahaya Sarki, spokesperson to the governor. 

"Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, CON, has approved the immediate payment of May salary to all civil servants in the state.

"This is contained in a Press Statement signed by the Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi this Monday.

"According to the statement, the kind gesture by Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is to enable civil servants and pensioners of the State participate happily in the celebration of the inauguration /handing over of mantle of leadership to Dr. Idris Nasir, Kauran Gwandu, Governor-elect.

"The Statement enjoins civil servants to fully participate in the historic handing over on May 29th 2023 in a happy mood.

"The State Government has directed Banks to effect prompt payment to civil servants," Sarki stated.
