Kebbi Governor Condoles Malami Over Brother's Demise

The Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has condoled the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, over his brother's demise.

The deceased, Dr Zubairu Malami, died on Monday morning at his residence in Birnin Kebbi after a brief illness.

The governor led government officials and mourners to the funeral prayer. 

He expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family. 

Governor Idris also joined the former minister to receive condolences from sympathisers after the deceased was buried according to Islamic rites.

He prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and admit him to Jannatul Firdaus. 

In a statement by Yahaya Sarki, new media aide to the governor, Idris prayed to Allah to grant the former Minister and the bereaved family the courage and fortitude to bear the loss.

The funeral was attended by hundreds of people including top government officials, politicians, and community, religious and traditional leaders. 

Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
