Kebbi govt charges new permanent secretaries on loyalty, tra

The Kebbi State Government has charge the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in the state to maintain total loyalty, transparency and professionalism in their duties.

The State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena gave the charge when he hosted the permanent secretaries at his office in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.

As contained in a statement on Saturday by Yahaya Sarki, the spokesperson to Governor Nasir Idris, the Head of Service urged them to exhibit a high sense of maturity, transparency, and professionalism in accordance with Civil Service guide.

He said: "You should be loyal to the Government 100 percent; anything less than 100 percent is not good enough. But I don't say you should go beyond your bounds. 

"Your bounds are when the Government is successful, you should be loyal to the Government."

According to Sarki, Bena further charged them to support the government and ensure professionalism in dealing with official government assignments. 

While congratulating them on their new appointments, he assured them of his intention to lead them on a courtesy visit to appreciated the governor.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Abubakar Nayilwa, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Basic Education expressed their "gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to serve the people of Kebbi State under the leadership of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu."

He further reassured of their commitment to deliver on their respective assignments.

Allnews.ng recalls that the governor recently approved the appointment of 21 of the new permanent secretaries and reposting of 34 others to various ministries in the state.

The governor had also directed the new appointees and reposted senior officers to report to their respective place of assignments on or before August 7, 2024.
