A man whose genitals were bitten off by his wife says he has forgiven her for the sake of peace.
Eliud Kepha, 38, who is hospitalized, stated that he "does not want issues," which is why he chose to forgive his second wife, Grace Oyaro, 35.
“I am ready to forgive my wife, I don’t want to get into problems,” Kepha told journalists from his hospital bed on Wednesday, hours after his wife was charged with causing grievous bodily harm and assault.
The event occurred on New Year's Eve following an altercation caused by suspicions of adultery hurled against the husband.
Kepha is being treated at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH).
The lady was arraigned before Senior Principal Magistrate Caroline Ocharo at Kisii law courts, where she denied inflicting grave harm to her spouse.
She was granted a bail of Sh50,000 and a surety of the same amount to be released while the case is still ongoing.
The matter will be addressed on January 26 of this year.
