Channels reports that Naibei returned a time of 2:11:37 to win the top prize of $30,000, while the Ethiopian Dinke won the female category, also winning the cash prize of $30,000.
The three winners in the men's category

Coming in third was Daresa Geleta, also from Ethiopia, for the men's category. Demiso Legese from Ethiopia claimed the third position in the same category.
For the women, Celestine Chepchirchir (Kenya) won second place, claiming a cash prize of $20,000, while Desta Muluneh (Ethiopia) came in third with a cash prize of $15,000.

As was the case in the men's category, this is the fourth time an Ethiopian won the female race. Istifanus Peter Mahan from Plateau State was the first Nigerian to cross the finish line.

Mahan will be given the sum of N1,000,000, while the second and third Nigerian will get N750,000 and N500,000 respectively in the race that was sponsored by Access Bank.

The race began in the early hours of Saturday in front of the National Stadium, Surulere, ending at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, a 42-kilometer stretch.
It was flagged off by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.
