Kenyan Woman Arrested For Attempting To Sneak Marijuana Into

The marijuana and cigarettes were hidden in a loaf of bread she brought to the police station as breakfast for her husband

Police have arrested a 30-year-old lady who attempted to sneak marijuana and cigarettes to her husband in custody at Gilgil Police Station, Kenya.

In the incident that happened on Sunday, November 27, Caroline Imenza entered the aforementioned station a few minutes after 6 a.m. and asked to see her husband, Stephen Nyabuto.

Imenza, who had the appearance of a good wife, was said by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives to have brought a loaf of bread and a flask of tea for Nyabuto to have for breakfast.

The loaf of bread was discovered by a female officer who was on duty at the report office desk. She discovered a steep gorge that is typical of modern loaves of bread.

But in the end, the officer found five rolls of marijuana, five packs of cigarettes, and a matchbox.

The officer arrested Imenza right away and took her to a private area designated for cases involving gender, where she thoroughly searched the suspect.

The woman was found to have 80 additional rolls of the herb, carefully tucked away in her underwear, during the search.

Imenza made an unsuccessful attempt to buy the officers' cooperation by offering them KSh 2,000.

An additional charge of attempting to bribe an officer was levied against her.

She is currently being held at Gilgil Police Station pending arraignment on Monday, November 28.
