Key Points From Charly Boy's Heartfelt Apology To His Daught

Days after his daughter' - Dewy - outburst for revealing her sexuality to his followers on Instagram, veteran entertainer, Charly Boy has tendered a heartfelt apology to her.

AllNews earlier reported that Charly Boy took to his Instagram handle to say that he experienced a range of emotions when Dewy opened up that she was a lesbian.

Area Fada said in part, 'When my child told me she is gay, a lesbian, I experienced a range of emotions, during dat phone conversation. So many things went through my mind, one of them included self-blame ("Did I do something wrong?")'.

Reacting in the comment section, Dewy, who is based in the United States said, "But just a few days ago?... you know what never mind, we already did this in 2018. Imma let you post your lil content for your follows."

She had also tagged her father a hypocrite, stating that he used her sexuality to “chase clout and attention from strangers”.

However, apologising to Dewy, the 70-year-old entertainer in a lengthy post said “I know the last few days may have been tough for you flowing from my Friday post ‘For Parents Only’ on my Instagram."

What Charly Boy Said In Apology To His Daughter:

1. The post was aimed at informing parents on the need to advise and lead their children on the right part.

“I was talking to parents trying to get them to understand that they-can only give good advice or put their children on the right paths, but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands."

2. Charly Boy's daughter's reaction did not come as a surprise because he also tackled his father to get his independence.

"When people dey yab me say you dey tackle me for social media, I just dey laff. I dey laff bcos Na so I tackle my papa before I collect my independence. Lion no fit born goat. Never forget that the Oputas are very special people, and in you I see me."

3. Their story inspired many who shared their testimonies with him.

4. My darling, I promise to allow you tell your story like I have been able to tell mine. I respect your perspectives and I understand. I brought you all up as Global Kids and not as timid village champions. Let’s just go back to the friendship we have been working on.

"Since Saturday morning I have received thousands of phone calls from parents and young people who feel disconnected with their parents. Their testimonies have been quite insightful. I was only able to offer a listening ear and soothing words, but I feel taller because our story inspired thousands. That’s a good thing."
