Kiddwaya Reacts To Costa Titch’s Death [Video]

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kiddwaya has called on managers, PR personnel, and everyone behind the scenes in the music industry to do more to protect artists following the death of South African rapper Costa Titch.

In a video shared on social media, Kiddwaya expressed his sadness at the news of Costa Titch’s death and spoke on the need to prioritize the physical and mental well-being of artists.

Kiddwaya urged the music industry to conduct regular blood tests, BP checks, and check-ups to ensure that artists are physically and mentally fit to perform on stage.

He noted that many artists turn to drugs to cope with the pressure of the industry and escape from the world, which often leads to heart attacks and other health complications.

“Guys, have you seen the terrible video of Costa Titch slumping and dying on stage? It’s so sad because the guy was so talented and extremely young.

“This is a message to the managers, PR people and most of the people behind the scene.

“We got to do more to protect artistes. We have to do regular blood tests, regular BP checks. Check if they are mentally and physically okay.

“Because many of these artistes are taking drugs to escape the world or to carry the expectations and impressions from everyone. They are taking drugs and taking it in heavy heavy doses.

“And when they go on stage with all the excitement and all the energy, most times they have heart attacks,” Kiddwaya said.

The entrepreneur stressed that if an artist is not okay, managers should cancel the show or reschedule and refund the audience.

He emphasized that nothing is more important than the mental and physical well-being of artists and that financial losses should not be prioritized over the loss of life.

“You have to check them regularly and if they are not okay if you feel like something is wrong, you cancel the show.

“It costs nothing to refund people. Yes, you might have some financial liabilities and loses but nothing is bigger than a loss of life.

“You have to do more to protect your artistes.

"If they are not okay, you cancel the show or reschedule; give people their refund. Because the mental being and their wellbeing is way more important than anything.”
