Kim Kardashian Serves Kanye West Divorce Papers

Popular American media personality, Kim Kardashian on Friday filed divorce papers on Kanye West following months of speculation that her marriage was in trouble.

This development was made known to Reuters by a Los Angeles Court Spokesman on Friday that the 40-year-old reality TV star filed the divorce papers.

Also, the representative of Kim Kardashian confirmed that she had filed papers truly but the grounds for the divorce were not mentioned.

Recall that, Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser filed papers confirming a split first rumoured back in January, when the mega-celebrity couple was reported to be living separately, Fox News said.

According to TMZ sources called the divorce "amicable," saying Kardashian is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four children, which West is "fine" with.

The US entertainment news site also reports that the pair had a prenuptial arrangement in place, with discussions on property settlements said to be in the advanced stages.

The news comes after a source told E! News their relationship had effectively reached its breaking point following months of private turmoil.

“It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” an insider shared with E! News. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”

It follows months of speculation that the couple's marriage was in trouble, with multiple sources telling US media that their "divorce is imminent" and Kardashian has hired renowned divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

The couple, who both went public with their relationship in April 2012, got married in May 2014. They share four children together, North West, 7, Saint West, 5, Chicago West, 3, and Psalm West, 20 months.
