Kemi Adetiba has revealed that the much-anticipated sequel to King of Boys is not a film but a seven-part limited series.
The excited filmmaker shared the news via her Instagram page on Monday, disclosing that the upcoming production is titled King of Boys: The Return of the King.
Adetiba announced that the limited series will be arriving on Netflix on August 27, 2021, and that it is the streaming platform's "first original series out of Nigeria".
She said, "Ladies and Gentlemen... Boys and Girls... I said when it came, it would be good. Two HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS.
"1. You can now confidently set your reminders and refresh your NETFLIX accounts. KOB 2 is officially landing on August 27th, 2021. No going back now.

"2. KOB 2 is no longer called KING OF BOYS 2. Why? Cos it's not a FILM. It's a 7-EPISODE LIMITED SERIES!!! YES... You heard me right. SEVEN!!!! SERIES.
"NETFLIX'S FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES OUT OF NIGERIA!! Now called KOB: THE RETURN OF THE KING!!! See you on AUGUST 27TH!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!"
