Amos Kipruto won his first Marathon title in London with an impressive performance on the track.
Kipruto won the race two hours, four minutes, and 39 seconds after racing past his other challengers with about five kilometers to go.
Ethiopia's Leul Gebresilase finished second in the race crossing the line 33 seconds after Kipruto, while Belgian Bashir Abdi finished third.
In the Women's category, Ethiopia's Yalemzerf Yehualaw also won her first title six months after making her debut with a time of two hours, 17 minutes, and 26 seconds to set the third fastest Women's London Marathon time in history.
She is also the youngest ever London Marathon Champion at the age of 23.
Joyciline Jepkosgei finished second, while Alemu Megertu finished third.
