Kizz Daniel Apologises To Tanzanian Fans, Promises Free Show

Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has apologised to his Tanzanian fans and also detailed the circumstances that led to his inability to perform.

On Monday, Kizz Daniel was a trending Twitter topic after videos of his arrest in Tanzania for failing to show up for a show after being paid went viral.

In a press conference on Tuesday night streamed on the show promoter’s Instagram page, the ‘Buga’ hitmaker said that a one-hour delay on his flight from Uganda where he had performed a day before destabilized his travel plans, making him also miss his connecting flight from Kenya to Dar es Salaam.

He said that when he got to Tanzania at 1 am, he noticed that the airline left behind his bag containing his clothes and equipment for band members.

Kizz Daniel said he communicated the situation of things to the organisers but by the time they were done with trying to resolve and ready to move the show forward, the venue had been trashed by angry fans.

He clarified that he was not arrested but was only invited by the police for questioning because his name was connected to the vandalism by fans at the show's venue.

He, however, apologised to his Tanzanian fans and promised a free show on Friday to make it up to them.
