On Wednesday night, Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel gave an electrifying performance during the FIFA Fan Festival at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He performed his recent single ‘Cough (Odo)’ to over 50,000 fans at the fan festival.
When he coughed (the intro of the single) into the microphone, it sent the audience into a frenzy.
Flunked by dancers, the singer also treated the crowd with a live-band performance of another of his hit single ‘Buga’.
Kizz Daniel paid a tribute to late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti with the rendition of ‘Lady’.
The 2022 World Cup which is the 22nd edition of the FIFA tournament will be played from November 20 to December 18 in Qatar.
However, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to make it to the tournament in the Arab country after losing out on a qualification ticket to Ghana back in March.
This is a dream come true for Kizz Daniel as he had expressed his desire to perform ‘Buga’ at the world cup back in June.
In the tweet on Wednesday, June 23, 2022, Kizz Daniel said wrote: “God I want to perform ‘Buga’ for World Cup with a mass choir. Help me say amen.”
