Kizz Daniel: Singer To Appear Before Lagos Police After Tanzania Apprehension

Kizz Daniel: Singer To Appear Before Lagos Police After Tanz

It may be a case of moving from the frying pan to the fire for embattled singer Kizz Daniel as he is expected to show himself at the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday following his arrest in Tanzania.

On Monday, the Buga crooner was a trending Twitter topic after videos of his apprehension in the African nation went viral.

According to reports, the artiste has been released but will appear before the police for "taking the laws into his hands".

Speaking on the invitation, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared: "He (Kizz Daniel) unlawfully seized a laundry company’s vehicle.

"The police went there, recovered the vehicle and invited him over to make a statement, as to what happened. We are still expecting him, but his lawyer said he would come on Tuesday (today).

“It is criminal to seize people’s property against their will and the proper thing is prosecution.

"Nobody should take the law into their hands by seizing anybody’s property. If you are aggrieved or somebody has offended you, seek appropriate redress.

“If it is a criminal matter, go to the police; if it is a civil matter, you can sue the person or seek alternative dispute resolution instead of taking laws into your hands. It could lead to a breakdown of law and order."

It was previously reported that Kizz Daniel accused the laundry company of damaging his clothes, demanding N14 million as compensation.
