Klopp Hopes To Repeat Anfield's Miracle At Real Madrid

Jurgen Klopp Suffers Defeat To Napoli

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has acknowledged that his side has a "one per cent" chance of coming back against Real Madrid in their upcoming Champions League second-leg tie at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Reds suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat to the Spanish giants in the first leg at Anfield, their fortress, but Klopp is hopeful of a repeat of their remarkable comeback against Barcelona in 2019.

"Real Madrid are a great team and they deservedly won the first leg, but we have seen how football can surprise us," Klopp said in the pre-match conference.

"We have a mountain to climb, but we have the experience of achieving the impossible in the past. We will play with the same intensity and passion that has defined us in the past and who knows what can happen," he added.

Liverpool will be without several key players due to injury, including captain Jordan Henderson and defenders Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. Despite this, Klopp is confident that his team can rise to the occasion and make history once again.

The Reds come into the game off a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth while Real Madrid claimed their first win in four games in a 3-1 win over Espanyol.

So Los Blancos are the better team psychologically speaking ahead of the game.
