Klopp To Accept Europa League For Liverpool After Disappoint

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his acceptance of the club qualifying for the second-tier of UEFA competitions, the Europa League as they strive to make the most of a disappointing season.

Sitting in seventh place, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, and unlikely to qualify for the Champions League, Klopp told reporters on Friday that they will take what they get.

"We take what we get. It is not that we said that would be fantastic at the start of the season but this season taught us a few things.

"If it is Europa League, it is Europa League," said Klopp ahead of their home Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

"I want to play the best possible football. We have to be focused on the game coming up, that is Tottenham.

"What happens in the next few weeks will be very important for next season."

Despite the disappointment of not qualifying for the Champions League, Klopp emphasized the importance of focusing on the present and doing their best in the upcoming games.

He noted that Liverpool's performances have been pleasing for the coach, and while consistency is still a work in progress, he is happy with the team's current state.

The German added that midfielder Naby Keita is expected to return to training, while defender Ibrahima Konate is available for selection.

As Liverpool gear up for their crucial fixture against Tottenham, Klopp remains determined to make the most out of the remainder of the season and hopes to finish strong.
