Koeman Allows Chelsea Sign Dutch Defender, Xavi Mbuyamba Fro

Chelsea completed the signing of teenage Barcelona's defender, Xavi Mbuyamba early on Friday morning after Barcelona's new head coach promised an opportunity to talented young stars. After the unveiling of Koeman, he promised the youngsters in Barcelona youth team an opportunity in the first team or playing time but a few days after the blues has poached for free, one of these talented players.

Xavi 18, moved to London after he signed a 3-year deal with Chelsea after missing out on him last summer due to the transfer ban imposed on them.

Chelsea were not the only big European clubs after him with Juventus also interested in his signature, but he could be loaned out to be given more game time with the blues team saturated with young players.

Frank Lampard has been an admirer of young players since he took the reins at the Stamford Bridge promoting eight (8) players from the Chelsea youth team - this could add to the factors Xavi considered before joining the English side.
