The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a Toyota Sienna and a Mazda conveying minors from Ogun to Plateau State on December 16, and upon interrogation, it was confirmed that the kids were handed over to the drivers by a woman known as Mama Blessing AKA (Martina) for human trafficking. It was said the children are between the ages of nine and 19-years.

Buba said in her statement that “After investigations by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Kogi State, it was confirmed that all the trafficked children are from Plateau State. The children were repatriated to Plateau State and handed over to the Ministry of Women Affairs to reunite with their parents."

She declared that the ministry has written to the Ministry of Women Affairs in Ogun State to track down the said woman, adding that, the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, (NAPTIP) is making investigations in tracking all those involved in the illegal business.
