Kogi Governorship: AAC Candidate Vows To Revamp State Econom

The candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Austin Achimugu, for the forthcoming November governorship election has vowed to revamp the Kogi State economy if elected.

Achimugu gave the assurance while addressing party stakeholders and supporters at the declaration and presentation of the AAC’s flag to him as the standard bearer in the forthcoming Governorship election in Lokoja on Saturday.

He said that his party AAC is on a rescue mission, stressing that the state has been ripped off of economic prosperity and there is an urgent need to take the state back now.

He pointed out that the time has come to collaborate with the people of the State to move Kogi to the next pedestal, stressing that if elected as governor the people’s contributions will be the fulcrum of his administration

“Our administration will be people-oriented and will jointly move them out of the current poverty level”.

“Kogi State needs structural adjustment and my administration would also ensure a conducive environment for the youth to make an impact on governance.

“They have weaponised poverty in the state. I am prepared to take Kogi out of the woods. We will ensure people from this great.

“We want to build a state where every indigene will be proud to associate with Kogi state anywhere in the world. 

“Education, health sectors would be given more priority in the ACC administration in Kogi State," he stated.
