Kogi State Gets New Ag Chief Judge After Justice Nasir's Dem

 

Following the death of Justice Nasir Ajanah, the Kogi State Government has sworn in Justice Henry Olusuyi to serve in the capacity of the State's acting Chief Judge.

Sworn in at exactly 10;35 am after taking his oat of office today at Lokoja, the state capital, Justice Olusuyi's swearing-in Ceremony was graced by  Governor Yahaya Bello, the state Deputy Governor, Edward Onaja; Speaker of the House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole and top government functionaries.

Olusuyi's appointment is coming after the death of Justice Nasir Ajanah who died on June 29.

In a related event, Governor Yahaya Bello also approved the appointment of Bayo Olowosegun as the acting President of the state’s Customary Court of Appeal.

Olowosegun’s appointment also followed the demise of the former occupant of the office, Shaibu Atadoga, who died on June 22.
