The lockdown imposed on the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State has been lifted by the state government.
This was announced by the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, on Friday, at the Government House, in the state capital of Lokoja.
Bello said that the move to lift the lockdown became necessary after the test results of the samples collected returned negative, with the governor maintaining that the state was free from coronavirus.
With this development, Bello urged all residents of the state to comply with the guidelines set down by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The state government had imposed a 2-week lockdown on the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area in a bid to curb the spread of the virus in the state.
Contact tracing of those who may have come into contact with the index cases in the state has kicked off, while those who might have come into contact with the index cases have been urged to self-isolate.
