The Nigerian director's inclusion in the film festival comes as no surprise given his achievements in the film industry. His works have continued to gain more and more viewership, and some of his best movies are currently streaming on Netflix.
The 2021 Luxor Film Festival also pays tribute to the iconic Malian director Cheick Oumar Sissoko, whose film Guimba won special jury prizes at the International Film Festival of Locarno.
