Kunle Afolayan's 'Anikulapo' Countdown Trailer Released

The countdown has intermittently begun for Kunle Afolayan and Netflix's partnered original, 'Anikulapo'.

The Nollywood movie is part of the streaming giant's multi-title agreement with the award-winning filmmaker.

'Anikulapo' will be released on September 30, 2022, which coincidentally (or not), is Kunle Afolayan’s birthday.

It is a unique mystical folklore drama that reflects the Yoruba culture and traditions and follows the life of Saro, a young, ambitious man seeking greener pastures in the historic Oyo Kingdom.

The movie features a brilliant cast of Yoruba Nollywood actors and actresses including the sensational Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem K. Kazeem, Bimbo Ademoye, Taiwo Hassan, Fathia Balogun, Adebayo Salami, Moji Olayiwola, and Kareem Adepoju

'Anikulapo' was shot at KAP Film Village and Resort by Kunle Afolayan.
