Kwairanga Leads Gombe Investment Team, Secures Support From Saudi Arabia

The Chairman of the Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company, Umaru Kwairanga, has led the state's investment team to Saudi Arabia.

The team met with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah to discuss investment opportunities in Gombe state.

During the meeting, the Bank assured of its support while expressing its willingness to participate in the next Gombe State Investment Summit 2.0.

The Bank also assured of its support for the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park through NIPC's investor drive and to participate at the formal commissioning of the Park.

The team's visit has earned the state massive investments from the Bank. 

This was contained in statement made available on Friday by Ismaila Uba Misilli, spokesperson to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of the state. 

"The Gombe Green Sukuk, will also be fully supported on the predevelopment work, inventory aggregation and its implementation. 

"The Bank will also directly support the Livestock Value-Chain and the Anti-venom manufacturing plant through development of support with the agricultural team of IsDB.

"Balanga Dam Project to be implemented with detailed Business Plan and Investor Proposals.

"Likewise Wawazange Concession should support MercyCorp to fast track development of Business Case through Concession of the Project.

"The meeting was quite useful and fruitful as we look forward to rewarding partnerships with the IsDB Group and Gombe State," added the statement. 

Those present representing Gombe State during the meeting included Umaru Kwairanga, Chairman Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company, Dr Ishiyaku Mohammed Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya on Budget Planning and Development Partners Coordition and Hajiya Aisha Bako, MD Onyx Consultant.

Others from the IsDB were Dr Mansur Mukhtar, Vice President, Dr Ahsaru Kibria Country Manager, Mahmodou Alpha Bah - IsDB Nigeria Office and Mr Abdulkadir Baba-Ahmed - IsDB VPs Office Jeddah.
