Kwara Government Seeks Synergy Between Private, Public Terti

The government of Kwara State has tasked the leaders of private tertiary institutions in the state to work in partnership with public tertiary institutions to promote the education sector of the state.

Dr Afees Abolore, the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, made this call during a convergence with heads of private Colleges of Education, Colleges of Health Technology and Health Sciences, private Polytechnics, Colleges of Technology and Skill Acquisition Centres in the state.

The commissioner's call which was contained in a statement by the Press Secretary of the education ministry, Mansurat Amuda-kannike, on Monday in Ilorin, was given to improve the service delivery in the tertiary education sector.

Abolore urged the leaders to back the Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-administration in encouraging an effective output in the sector.

He further assured of the government's willingness to support private tertiary institutions to succeed. 

The statement also noted that all directors in the ministry and all heads of private tertiary institutions in the state were in attendance at the meeting.
