Kwara NYSC member dies in road crash

A member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Michael Araoye has reportedly died in an auto crash.

27 year old Araoye, who is an Osun State indigene was reportedly involved in a car crash in his way back from his Community Development Service (CDS) programme.

The news of his demise was made known on the X handle of Agunbe Descendants.

"The union received with shock the death of our brother Araoye Michael corps member in a ghastly accident that occur in Kwara state.

"The deceased, Araoye Michael from Ikirun Ifelodun Local Government Osun State, was coming from his weekly Community Development Service (CDS) when the accident occurred.

"The Union described the death of Araoye Michael as great loss not only to the bereaved family but also to entire Ikirun, NYSC and the rest of the nation.

"He prayed that Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest, and give his loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss."

Araoye before his demise was a member I'd the 2023 Batch ‘B’ service year and a hikdere of a Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration and Management from the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State.

He was initially deployed to Akwa Ibom State for his national service before redeploying to Kwara State, with his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) at the state Ministry of Works.

However, NYSC has not reacted to his death.
