Barcelona secured a crucial 1-0 win over Osasuna on Tuesday to move one step closer to winning the LaLiga title for the first time since 2019.

The game was played at Camp Nou, and it was a tough one for the Catalan side as they were facing a defensive Osasuna side.

The visitors had to play with ten men for most of the match after debutant Jorge Herrando was shown a red card in the first half for a professional foul on Pedri. This meant they sat deep and tried to frustrate Barcelona throughout the match.

However, despite their best efforts, Barcelona finally found the back of the net in the 85th minute through a late goal from Jordi Alba. The left-back, who has had limited minutes this season, sliced home a volley to give Barcelona the much-needed victory.

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez was pleased with the team's performance, particularly with their patience in breaking down a resilient Osasuna side. He also praised the impact of his substitutes, including Alba and Ansu Fati, who both played important roles in the victory.

The win moved Barcelona 14 points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who still have a game in hand. However, Xavi's side will not be taking their foot off the pedal, as they look to secure the title as soon as possible.

Their next game is a trip to Levante on Sunday, where they will be looking to continue their winning run and take another step closer to the LaLiga title.
