La Liga: Getafe Hold Atletico To 1-1 Draw

Atletico Madrid's game against La Liga's Getafe resulted in a thrilling 1-1 draw on Saturday as Diego Simeone's men remain 4th in the standings.

Despite dominating the match, Atletico was unable to secure a win as Getafe equalized late in the second half with a penalty from Enes Unal.

Atletico had multiple opportunities to score in the beginning, but it was not until the 60th minute that Angel Correa successfully volleyed the ball into the net from a rebound.

Atleti grabbed an early lead, Getafe fought back and secured a valuable point on the road in the 83rd minute. The referee spotted a handball by Saul Niguez inside the box, leading to Unal scoring from the penalty spot.

This result leaves Atletico in fourth place in the LaLiga standings, with 35 points. They are four points behind third-placed Real Sociedad and 15 points behind league leaders Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Getafe remains in the relegation zone, currently sitting in 19th place with 18 points.
