La Liga: Lewandowski's Brace Secures Win For Barca At Elche, Fati Scores In 4-0 Riot

La Liga: Lewandowski's Brace Secures Win For Barca At Elche,

Gavi and Lewandowski

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski returned to his scoring form with a brace to help make-shift Barcelona maintain their dominance in LaLiga with a comfortable 4-0 win over Elche.

The victory extended Barcelona's lead to 15 points at the top of the league. Ansu Fati scored his first league goal since October, and Ferran Torres added the fourth goal.

Eric Garcia played in Sergio Busquets' pivot role, and Xavi made several changes to his side, keeping in mind the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.

Elche never posed a threat to the runaway league leaders, and their new coach, Sebastian Beccacece, watched his team lose to the bottom-of-the-league side.

The Catalans maintained their form with a 20th clean sheet of the season. Speaking after the match, Xavi praised the performance of his team and was happy with the players' focus on their upcoming fixtures.

"We played well today, and we showed a lot of character. We're not thinking too much about the title race; we want to keep winning games and improving," said Xavi Hernandez.
