Real Madrid suffered a surprising 1-0 loss against Mallorca in LaLiga on Sunday due to a peculiar own goal from defender Nacho in the first half.
Nacho's header over the goalkeeper and into the net in the 13th minute stunned his teammates.
Despite dominating the game, Real missed several chances including a missed penalty from Marco Asensio.
Mallorca's solid defense and goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic were too much for Real to overcome.
With five points behind leaders Barcelona, who have a game in hand, Real is under pressure to retain their title.
The loss also came with additional challenges as they were missing key players like Karim Benzema and Eder Militao and experienced a warm-up injury to Thibaut Courtois.
Despite their efforts, Real only managed one shot on target and will now travel to Morocco for the Club World Cup to face Al Ahly on Wednesday.
