Limpopo police in South Africa have arrested a 30-year-old woman who allegedly murdered her 29-year-old boyfriend after a stabbing incident on Saturday.
Col Malesela Ledwaba, a police spokesperson in Limpopo, said the incident happened on Saturday evening in Morarela village, outside Marble Hall.
According to reports, the victim was visiting his partner at her home when the two got into a heated argument, which resulted in the stabbing.
“The suspect (woman) apparently went outside to cool down, but the victim followed her while holding a sharp object. The victim was then stabbed in the upper body following a fight between the two,” said Ledwaba.
Ledwaba went on to say that emergency medical services were called, but the man died at the scene after suffering critical stabbing wounds.
After that, the woman (girlfriend/suspect) was arrested. In Limpopo, there have been several cases of stabbing nature in recent months.
The suspect will appear at the Marble Hall magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
