Lafia East Overseer Tasks Farmers, Herders On Peaceful Coexi

Farmers and herders in Lafia East Development Area of Nasarawa State have been urged to live in peace with one another for development to thrive

The Overseer of the area, Barrister Mohammed Haruna made the call on Tuesday in Ungwan Umbugu when he paid Fulani leaders and the family of 12-year-old Abdulkadir Muhammed who drowned to death recently in a river. 

Haruna who sympathized with the family of the deceased reiterated the commitment of his administration to the security of lives and property. 

He commended them for not taking laws into their hands and assured that no stone will be left unturned until justice is served. 

Also speaking, the father of the deceased, Mohammed commended the Overseer for the visit and efforts in ensuring peace and security in the Area. 

He assured that they'll continue to remain peaceful and law abiding, and obey constituted authorities. 

12-year-old Abdulkadir had drowned on November 23, over the misunderstanding that ensued between them and some farmers in the community.
