The Lagos City Marathon has become an annual event that gets the attention of many Lagosians, Nigerians and other Africans with the mouth-watering prize and well-structured, organized planning by the organizing committee that makes it more glamorous for both the contestants and the spectators.
The 2019 edition was won by Ethiopia's Sintayehu Legese with a time of 2.17.28 and carted home $50,000 prize money.
The Eastern Africans are known to be undisputed champions when it comes to a long-distance racing competition but many Nigerian participants will hope to give them a run for their money when at the 2020 edition.
