A boat mishap in Lagos has led to the death of four people, according to officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
The boat had twenty people aboard it and was headed for Ikorodu from Ebute-Ero when it capsized around 8 pm, according to LASEMA's head, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.
Oke-Osanyintolu said that the voyage was “in violation of night-time restrictions on water travel."

Also adding that, “On arrival at the incident scene . . . search and rescue operations commenced albeit under extremely challenging nightfall conditions."
The boat's captain still remains missing, but 10 passengers have been recovered.
