The Government of Lagos State is set to complete a new industrial estate in the Imota Local Council Development Area of the state.
This is as the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration it is reorganising state-owned industrial hubs to boost the operations of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
In a press release issued on Thursday, the government further stated its openness to partnering for the development of more small and medium-scale industrial hubs for improved economic production and export within the available enterprise zones in various parts of the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Adetutu Ososanya, made this known at a breakfast meeting and exhibition organised by the Nigerian Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with Equipment Manufacturing West Africa Expo and Zenith Exhibitions.
The event took place on Wednesday at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, with the theme ‘Reigniting Manufacturing to Drive Economic Growth and Development’.
“In addition to the ongoing reorganisation of the state’s existing small-scale industrial estates that are situated in various commercial axis of the state, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is also working to complete a new Industrial Estate located at Imota LCDA.
“The government is open to receiving development partners who are willing to work with the state government in the development of more small and medium-scale industrial hubs for increased economic production and export within the available enterprise zones in various parts of the state,’ she said’
