The Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, has urged youths in the state to maximize their technology skills to build a brighter future for themselves and society.

Speaking at the launch of the Lagos State Upskill Programme, a joint initiative with GFA Technologies and WEMA Bank on Tuesday in Lagos, Ogunlende emphasized the importance of equipping youths with the latest technology skills to tackle real-world challenges.

"The programme is designed to provide you with hands-on training in the latest technology, mentorship from industry experts, and the opportunity to work on projects that address real-world challenges," Ogunlende said.

"It will also nurture your creativity, foster your innovation, and build your resilience. By acquiring these skills, you will be empowered to create solutions, start your own businesses, and become employable in the tech industry", the commissioner said further.

He encouraged the youths to take full advantage of the opportunity, urging them to be curious, proactive, and collaborative.

"The skills you acquire here will be your tools to building a brighter future, not only for yourselves but for the entire community. You will be the drivers of innovation, economic growth, and social progress," Ogunlende added.

The Lagos State Upskill Programme aims to bridge the gap in technology skills and provide youths with the necessary tools to succeed in the digital age.

By leveraging this initiative, youths in Lagos State can gain a competitive edge in the tech industry and contribute to the state's economic development.
