Nigerian rapper Falz has tackled the Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu after his victory in the 2023 governorship election was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The incumbent governor's victory was announced in the early hours of Monday, with the State Returning Officer, Prof. Adenike Oladiji disclosing that he polled 762,124 votes.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude to the electorate, adding that he is honoured to be re-elected.

Responding to the tweet, Falz countered the post by saying that the governor was not elected as he "selected" himself.
According to the popular artiste, Sanwo-Olu's selection was seen by everyone and he and the members of his camp are only deceiving themselves.
"You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves", Falz penned.
