A man named Ali Yahaya has been remanded by an Ikorodu Magistrate's Court in Lagos State for stealing company property worth N1.35 million.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the suspect was arraigned on Tuesday and he pleaded guilty to entering a factory and stealing the property.
The defendant was remanded by Magistrate O. A. Ogbe pending review of the case and sentencing. The case was then adjourned to September 29.
The prosecutor submitted that the stolen properties belonged to the owner of the pure water factory, Sunday Olaniran.
According to her, the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by jumping the factory fence.
She disclosed that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 350, 287 and 168(D) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
