Boundary communities in Ogun State might be affected by the construction of the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge as Lagos seeks the support of boundary communities to bear with the inconvenience it may bring.
AlNews gathered that the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Aramide Adeyoye, during a meeting with the stakeholders, stated that the government was committed to lessening the effect of the construction.
The affected communities include Arepo, OPIC, Mawere, Isheri, and Sparklight Estate.

In a statement issued on Monday, the state government said the bridge could land around the Sparklight Estate near Arepo after running through several corridors.

According to her, the environmental impact assessment and stakeholders’ feedback were important for the government to make the right decisions on the construction of the proposed 38-kilometer bridge.

“The meeting here is to ensure all hands are on deck to make this infrastructure a success,” she said
It was reported on AllNews that the Lagos State Federal Controller of Works, Olukayode Popoola said, “All those places that have depression on the bridge will be taken care of properly".
"Work is progressing steadily on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; we are working on the bridge sections".
