Lalong Commissions Ultramodern Hospital In Kwande Community

Commissioning of the ultra modern hospital in Plateau

The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong on Thursday commissioned a multi-million naira ultramodern private hospital built by a resident Godfrey Bawa Shitgurum for his own community.

Lalong who commissioned the hospital lauded the philanthropist for standing by  his people.

Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State, Sylvanus Tapgun, the Governor said the hospital would tackle the health challenges of the community.

The ultramodern hospital named Peter and Anna Bawa Memorial Hospital is located in Kwande town of Quaan-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Shitgurum represented by his wife Tina Bawa explained that the hospital was built by Peter Bawa and Anna Foundation, a subsidiary of his organisation as a way of giving back to the people of the community and its environs.

Bawa said that over 170 surgeries were conducted so far since the commencement of the medical outreach two days ago.
